Lakes Region Conservation Trust
Land Protection Summary

The Lakes Region Conservation Trust is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to the permanent protection, stewardship, and respectful use of lands that define the character of the Lakes Region of central New Hampshire and its quality of life. The Trust, founded in 1979, is governed by a volunteer board of trustees and funded entirely by private donations.

Acreage Protected:

18,611 acres (total)

15,595 acres owned
2,056 acres subject to primary conservation easements
513 acres subject to executory ("backup") conservation easements
447 acres protected through other means

Shoreline Protected: 22 miles on Lake Winnipesaukee, Squam Lake, and other lakes rivers and streams throughout the Lakes Region
Summits Protected: 17 summits, including Red Hill, Mt. Shaw, Mt. Faraway, Mt. Roberts, Bald Knob and Mt Webster
Hiking Trails: More than 75 miles on LRCT land
