Value to the Viewshed: The Squam Range is the dominant component of the northern and western Squam landscape; its slopes and mountain peaks are visible from throughout the region and particularly from Squam Lake itself. The summits and ridgeline of the Range provide spectacular vantage points affording views in all directions—to the White Mountains, the peaks of the Sandwich Range, Red Hill, the Ossipees, the Belknaps, and Mt. Cardigan, as well as Squam and Winnipesaukee.
