Sheridan Woods Guided Snowshoe HikeOn February 27, 2010, more than 20 people joined LRCT Property Adopter John Oliver for a winter snowshoe hike at Sheridan Woods, one of many guided excursions planned by LRCT this year. Situated on the eastern flanks of Red Hill within LRCT's 2,565-acre Red Hill Conservation Area, Sheridan Woods conserves important wildlife habitat; the snowshoers learned of this first-hand as they came upon abundant tracks and signs of wildlife, including coyote, deer, turkey, and black bear. John led the group mostly off the trails, exploring areas of Sheridan Woods seldom seen by people and sharing the natural and human history of the land.
