22nd Annual Chowderfest

Over 1,200 people gathered on the shores of Lake Winnipesaukee on a beautiful day in early October 2009 to sample and vote on chowders prepared by restaurants from throughout the Lakes Region at the 22nd Annual Chowderfest. Sponsored and organized by 98.3LNH FM, each fall Chowderfest brings together local restaurants and the community in a fun and flavorful fundraiser to benefit the Lakes Region Conservation Trust. This year, participants sampled and voted on delicious and unique chowders from Abondante (Meredith), Cafe at Laconia Bike Works (Laconia), Camp (Meredith), Heat Restaurant (Laconia), Hill Top at Steele Hill Resorts (Sanbornton), Kitchen Cravings (Gilford), Patrick's Pub & Eatery (Gilford), T-Bones & Cactus Jack's (Laconia), Weirs Beach Lobster Pound (Weirs Beach), and Wolfe's Tavern at The Wolfeboro Inn (Wolfeboro). LRCT is extremely grateful to 98.3LNH FM, participating restaurants, sponsors, and event volunteers for their generous support of LRCT's conservation efforts through Chowderfest.
