COPPLE CROWN MOUNTAIN BROOKFIELD

Situated in Brookfield, this publicly accessible property covers 732 acres! The trail from Moose Mountain Road offers a half-day excursion, beginning on level terrain through mixed hardwood, ending on open ledges offering unique views of Lake Winnipesaukee, Lake Wentworth, Red Hill, the Ossipees, and the White Mountains. A short trail to an eastern viewpoint gives the hiker a perspective on the undeveloped expanse of the Moose Mountain range and, on a clear day, a glimpse of the New Hampshire seacoast. A vigorous climb to a unique vantage point, this trail was constructed by volunteers in the spring of 1995.

A map of the site may be obtained by calling the LRCT information line at 603-279-3246.
