FUNDRAISING BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL

June 2005

MOULTONBOROUGH - Planning continues for the second annual Family Day at Castle in the Clouds sponsored by the Lakes Region Conservation Trust and scheduled for Saturday, July 23, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. This year there will be an additional feature to the event with an afternoon Bluegrass Festival until 5:00 pm.

Current LRCT contributors will be invited to bring their own picnic and beverages and to enjoy guided hikes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. There will be children's activities from 10 to 11 a.m. with Pasha Blundo of Holland Hill Studios. Though free, tickets are required for the morning events. Castle tour tickets can be purchased at the Carriage House as usual.

In addition to Family Day, there will be a fundraising Bluegrass Festival under the tent from 1 to 5 p.m. Admission is by paid ticket only. Ticket holders will be treated to music by four renowned bluegrass bands: Southern Rail, New England Bluegrass, Amy Gallatin and Stillwaters, and the Mill City Ramblers.

Those attending should enter the Castle grounds at Ossipee Park Road, off Route 171, not by the main Castle gate. Tickets to both events are necessary. Admission to seats under the tent is $20 for adults and $5 for children 5 to 16. LRCT contributors who wish to sit on the grass outside the tent may do so free.

Tickets are available at the Trust office, or send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to LRCT, PO Box 1097, Meredith, NH 03253-1097. Cash or checks only will be accepted at the gate.
